Join Our Urban Flower Farm Team: Summer Internship Opportunity

Are you a rising middle school 7th grader to high school junior looking to dive into the world of farming? Look no further! Our urban flower farm is offering 6 paid summer internships that provides hands-on experience in all aspects of flower farming.

What You’ll Do:

  • Seeding, Planting, Irrigating, Harvesting and more! Get your hands dirty as you participate in every step of the farming process, from planting seeds to harvesting beautiful blooms. Learn the essential tasks that come after harvesting, such as cleaning and preparing flowers for sale or distribution. Help maintain the beauty and health of our farm by assisting with weeding tasks.

Bonus Skills:

  • If you have experience with Canva or graphic design, you can also contribute to some design tasks related to our farm’s promotion and branding.

Intern Expectations:

  • Punctuality: Work starts promptly at 6:30 am, and interns are expected to be on time. Latecomers may need to run laps to catch up!
  • Weekly Commitment: Interns can work up to 3-4 hours per week, contributing to the farm’s operations and learning valuable skills along the way. Interns will maintain their work hours in a Google spreadsheet.
  • Closing Ceremony: We’ll wrap up the summer internship with a special closing ceremony in early August, celebrating the hard work and dedication of our interns.
  • Qualification Questions: To be considered for our internship program, each applicant must answer the following two questions: (no more than 500 words each).

Our Process

Working on a consultative basis, our process begins with a visit, allowing us to discuss specific requirements and get a feel for an organisation’s space, location and corporate image. Then we create exciting designs, specifying plants that will thrive in your environment, and provide an accurate quote based on a minimum contract spend. We can also work with your interior design team’s mood boards and floor plans. Once a planting solution and maintenance contract is chosen, our installation team deliver and install the new greenery, all with minimum disruption. An assigned technician will then make regular, scheduled visits to ensure plants are watered, fed and in perfect condition.
