From Store-Bought to Farm-Fresh: My Flower Story

Lucia Jacomo

I go to the neighborhood supermarket extremely often with my parents. The first thing I see is the wall filled with flower arrangements, varieties that change depending on the season and pink wrapping that stays constant. I tend to buy those flowers often and one thing that I notice the most, is that they die so quickly! But how can we stunt that problem? Local farms!

At Florista we do it all!  With our interns and staff  seeding, transplanting, watering, packing and selling our florals. We are a small business that is reaching to provide you with the best quality local flowers and plants. As a team we make sure that our plants are taken care of for the joy and welfare of our community.

But why Florista? Local farms give lots of benefits that your local store can’t provide. For example they have a longer lasting bloom. Since they’re local there is no need to preserve the flowers so they withstand a longer time. I’m not just using basic statistics, I have experienced the difference. Like I mentioned prior the arrangements in the supermarket did not last very long, at most 3-5 days with top care. But with Fflorista’s flowers it’s very different! They lasted me and other customers over a week of fresh bloom.

So next time you have a special event, think about placing an order at a local florist (FLORISTA😁) for a great experience and a knock out of your buck!
